Lucie is a 22 year-old singer and songwriter based in Brisbane. She draws her sound from jazz, soul and pop, and puts a strong emphasis on her vocal abilities and technique, with influences from singers like Etta James, Amy Winehouse and Jennifer Hudson.

Growing up in Geneva, Lucie was exposed to different genres of music ranging from classical to Motown, rock and even world music. These endless possibilities were always a source of fascination, but it wasn’t until her first singing lesson at 9 years old that Lucie truly discovered her passion for singing. Her main focus stayed jazz for several years but she eventually branched out to pop and rock, working many small gigs around her hometown.  

In  2015, after moving to Brisbane, she studied music at QUT and graduated in 2020. Studying gave her the time and tools to experiment with finding her own sound and identity as an artist. 

During her time at university, she met and collaborated with Brisbane electronic artist PRESENTING MAGNUS on his single “Shake You Off”. She also featured on Matt Hsu’s Obscure Orchestra’s Shirt Album on the track “Runes Dans Le Sable”. 

In her first single “About You”, Lucie opens up about relationships and the bittersweet feeling of moving on from someone you’ve loved. 

Lucie is now working on new music.
